Firmware wise 5.43 is the latest version - it's on page 1 of this sub-forum - if you do install proceed with caution, engine needs to be running and a few people on here have had their SMEG unit bricked during the installation phase. I did suffer a blue screen when i did mine, which i was able to resolve by unplugging the battery (following the 3 minute rule) and then after reconnecting I was able to restart the installation sequence successfully. I know someone else had issues and they posted that they had to remove the head-unit and replace the micro SD card and was able to recover it. Having said that quite a few have installed the firmware without any issues at all so it's your call. The latest firmware does cure the issue with the head-unit constantly rebooting that's been reported in another topic due to DAB radio station signals.
